The Food Security Card (FSC), or Ration Card, is a key government-issued document under the National Food Security Act (NFSA). It allows families in Telangana to purchase essential food grains like rice, wheat, sugar, and kerosene at subsidized rates through fair price shops (FPS).
Residents who are newly married, recently relocated, or have lost their ration card can apply for a new FSC online via EPDS Telangana or MeeSeva.

Who Can Apply for New FSC in Telangana

Required Documents for New FSC Application
To apply for a Telangana FSC, submit the following:
- Aadhaar Card of all household members
- Address Proof: Electricity bill, water bill, or rental agreement
- Income Certificate: Issued by MeeSeva or MRO
- Passport-size Photos of all family members
- Caste Certificate (if applicable for SC/ST/BC households)
- Old Ration Card (if available)
- Gas Connection Details (optional)

How to Apply for New FSC in Telangana
1: Online Application via MeeSeva Portal
- Visit ts.meeseva.telangana.gov.in
- Search for “New Ration Card Application Form” under Civil Supplies
- Download and fill out the form with all required details
- Upload documents online or submit at the nearest MeeSeva center
- Save the acknowledgment number to track your FSC application status
2: Offline Application at MeeSeva Center
- Visit your nearest MeeSeva Center or Civil Supplies Office
- Request and fill out the New FSC Application Form
- Submit documents and obtain the acknowledgment slip for tracking
What Happens After Submission
- Authorities verify your application and documents
- Once approved, the Food Security Card (FSC) is generated
- You can download or print your FSC online via the EPDS Telangana portal
